Is there another 4200 that was dropped also that was more like 2x7 or 1.75 x 6  in the 4200?

What is the weight, length and objective on these scopes?

What are the 4200 dicontinued model(s) going for?

Is it a better scope than the Monarch 3x9 that was also dropped?

Optically, I don't think the 3-9x40 4200 is better than the 3-9 Monarch. The 4200 has Rainguard, though.
I have had both side by side quite a bit recently. They are both good for the same amount of light or lack of, also.
If you can't find the 4200 get the Team Primos Nikon. It's supposed to be the discontinued 3-9 Monarch.
It looks like the 1.5-6 is history, too.
If you want the 4200, better hurry, they are going fast.

I believe the 4200 is a touch better optically than the Monarch. I have both and have lined them up side by side to verify. I hate to say it, but the easiest way to find a 3x9 4200  is on
ebay , but supplies aren't huge to say the least.

hmm the 4200 is better than the 4200?
i agree with doug its to close to call optically for me as well, the rainguard is a nice extra, but the kicker i think is nikons lack of cs dept.

I love the 4200, I will say though that the Nikon that you can purchase is a better buy for right now, and finding the 4200 that you want may be difficult at best.
Either way you are getting a great scope for the money.
