I recently purchsed a 300wsm model 70 super shadow and need to swap out the scope. It came with a cheap scope as a combo. I am looking to spend $250-$350. I need good eye relief due to recoil. Most shots in 100-200 yard range at low light. I like the Elites but not sure about the eye relief. Any suggestions?

The Elite would be a good choice.

How much brighter is the 4200 vs. 3200?

IN the 3200, I liked the 3-9X40 with Firefly

In the 4200, 2.5-10X40 with Firefly

I am also looking at the Burris FF2 3-9X40

Any thoughts?

I believe the specs have the 4200 somewhere around 7-9% brighter than the 3200.  The Burris is a quality scope, more in line with the 3200.  All the scopes you are conidering are good, but the 4200 is the "clear" winner.

the 4200 is ALOT brighter than the 3200, and is better choice, go for it.

As already stated, go with the Elite 4200 2.5-10x40 w/ the FireFly.

I appreciate the help. I believe the 4200 is my best bet.

My only concern was eye relief with this gun and I believe the 4200 is adequate.
