LEUPOLD PRODUCT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

It has come to Leupold's attention that some of the windage and elevation dials on the new 2004 VX®-III products have a minor cosmetic flaw. Although this flaw does not affect functionality, it could cause confusion in certain situations.

This issue is limited to the numbers on the dials, which in some instances have been reversed. In no way does this number reversal affect the function of the scope. The arrows and letters correctly indicate point of impact direction, the numbers are simply transposed. This issue is illustrated in the graphic shown below.

In keeping with Leupold's Full Lifetime Guarantee, any 2004 VX-III that is found to possess the incorrect dials may be returned to the factory for dial replacement. Leupold will gladly reimburse all shipping costs associated with this work.

Please return any 2004 Leupold VX-III with incorrectly numbered dials to:

Leupold Product Service

14400 N.W. Greenbrier Parkway
Beaverton , OR 97006

Kunger:  No.   Is that the name of the outfit that took over the Weaver repairs?   It may be too early to find anyone who has used them yet.....but a lot of fellows over at the RimfireCentral forum regularly have old scopes like Weavers reconditioned....you might check over there.  Wink

OOPS: I just read in another thread that you are talking about the second generation of Weaver scopes---not the scopes made in El Paso......hmmm.....well there are companies out there that fix any brand scopes, aren't there?   Anybody?
