Hey guys...just wanting an opinion on these 2 different scopes. Which one should I go with to mount on my 270....Monarch UCC 3-9x40 or VX-I 3-9x40? Or if you have another suggestion feel free to post. My budget is right around what these 2 scopes cost just so you know. Thanks

Absolutely, it's not even close. Great bang for the buck with the Nikon. My 3-9 Monarch is slightly better than my Vari-XIII 3.5-10 Leupold.

No comparison the Monarch is WAY WAY better then a Leupold VXI not even the same class of scopes. A better comparison would be the VXIII to the Monarch and to be honest I think I would still give the edge to the Monarch.
The lower model Nikon Buckmaster is better then Leupold VXI I would put the Buckmaster at about VXII catagory and the Leupold VXI would be around the same as an entry level Nikon ProStaff.
