I,m shooting a winchester model 1917 30/06. My scope is a bushnell banner. having trouble getting full view. do i need longer eye-relief with new scope? do not want to cut stock.

Can you change the mounting position of the scope you have? (Bro, can you loosen the rings and move the tube back and forth until you find a spot you like?)

If you are unable to move the scope any further back, extension rings may allow you to do so, if your base is compatable to the types available. I take it that it is a Winchester sporterized 1917 Enfield?

Get the extension rings, then you will have a little extra room to mount the scope for your shooting position. You could also get a universal rail base and have it fitted to your rifle.
