Alright guys, a couple days ago I was set on buying the 4200 but the deal I had to get it came with the jacket and a set of binoculars (that deal fell through) so now all opinions are welcome. This new scope will be mounted on a new Tikka T3 Hunter 300 win mag (walnut stock). These are the only 2 scopes I know of that are in the $200-300 price range, but are very good scopes. If you know of others id be glad to hear em. Thanks guys.

I recently  had a 3 week old  3x9 Monarch give up horizontal tracking after 5 rd.s of a 06 and dealt with the worst customer service from Nikon,, Since they've been making them in the Phillipines the quality just doesn't seem to be what is was...Go with the 4200 Elite -- Rainguard  could be a hunt saver -- Plus-  Buy before 12/31 and get camo rain jacket

well not exatly you will need the upc off the bottom of the box dammit i forgot that part, as long as you buy the scope before the 31st you are fine, they may not have the size jacket you want though it does say that on the coupon so they would give you a different size

Bushnell customer service is very slow....but not really that bad if you are patient. Nikon on the other hand has always had a reputation for being rather hard to deal with and trying to get around standing behind their products. Some guys get good service out of them, but many complain of rough going with service problems. I believe if I had my choice of which I wanted to deal with.....slow as they are I would pick bushnell every time.

To me the rainguard would also be the tie breaker even if service was a level playing field.
