Do we know for sure if the KX line of Kahles scopes has the
etched reticle? In addition to the lack of a side parallax
adjustment in the KX series, what are the real differences between the KX and CL line of Kahles
scopes? |

All I know is that the CL's have two holes in the bottom that are filled with putty and no one exactly what they are See my thread entitled " Is this normal for a Kahles" -Bricat p.s.- I do have one more issue with my new Cl but we'll get to that as soon as we can solve these "black hole " mysteries.

All I asked is does anyone know for sure. No disrespect intended to Ted or other members but can you tell by just looking at it? I find it funny that the Kahles site advertises the etched reticle on all models except the KX series. You would think that they would brag about the fact that even in their lower priced product they still sport an etched reticle. No flame or disrespect intended I just want to know for sure since I am considering a Kahles for my rifle. Thanks Sam _popupControl(); |

i realize that you want answers, i trust rifledude, he said all kahles scopes are etched reticles, if you dont trust him CALL kahles and ask them, i feel pretty confident that if ted says something about a kahles scope hes probably right thats all, he doesnt just guess. sorry if i come acrossed as pissed but i trust the guy |

OK pyro6999 that is a good idea I will call Kahles. Its not
that I don't trust rifledude, his posts indicate that he is a real wealth of
knowledge, I just wondered aloud if you could tell just by looking at a scope
whether or not the reticle is etched . A Kahles cost a lot of money and if I buy
one, I just want to know as much as possible about the product before spending
my hard-earned cash. |

i can respect that sam, i understand the concern i do, i also know that kahles web site sucks a big one not a lot of help, all it says about the reticle as im sure you are aware of is that its a non magnifying type? i dont blame you at all!! i want you to be happy as much as you want to be happy, although im pretty sure either way you go with a kahles scope you wont be disapointed!!

Sam,
Would you be interested in a second hand 3-9 KX that has seen VERY little use?

Here's my 0.02...
I have seen one hole on the bottom of my Kahles C 4x36, whatever it is that is covering it, I'm not touching. My 1.5-6x42 Helia L has no holes in the bottom of the tube. The 1.5-6x42 Model C has no holes at the bottom and my 2-7x36 CL Multizero has one on the power ring and the other at the bottom of the eyepiece.
My best guess is that they are adjustment/mounting screws that have a putty over them so no one needs to adjust them. I have dealt with Kahles customer service on more than one occasion and found them to be VERY helpful. They are open today (needed an answer about reticle changout) and can be reached at 800 426-3089. Estir Assad in customer service is ext. 2293 (I'm pretty sure).
Good luck and just end the bashing by making a phone call!!!

Well all this talk about just calling......so I called, girl in customer service didn't have a clue about either question. Said they could E-Mail or call me later in the week. Nobody there today to answer these questions. Guess I'll know later in the week, sounds like from brodeur some have em' some don't....some have one, some have two. Patience is a virtue in this case perhaps :>)
