you just asked for hunting rd. not deer rd. I'll bet RCBS die statistics would tell alot here, would be suprized if it wasn't 30-06 though

I agree with the first guy, anything with a WSM attached to it is "hot" right now. I prefer the classics just like JB and the rest of you folks, but it seems the young guys I hunt with all have a wsm or a wSSm. just my observation anyhow.

The hotest deer rifle round in this region is the .44mag, with the .357 hot on its heals. We have a new pistol caliber rule. We used to be Slug /BP or hand gun only. Now we can use the same pistol cartidges in rifles. This could open up a couple of other states.

I would say the most common seller is the 300 WSM. I have guided more people with those in the last year than anything. After that, would be 300 wm and 300 rum.

I've noticed that the 7mm-08 has been steady gaining ground in popularity up in these parts. Like said theres a lot of wsm guns appearing, 243 - 308 - 270 - and 30-06 will always be mainstays in the northeast. I just hope the less popular ones don't slip away......257R, 250 savage, 260, 358,....
