Dale, when you say warranty, is it true that the Mark 4's warranty is not lifetime?

From the Leupold Web Site:

Warranties on Leupold® Mark 4®, Mark 2™, and Tactical optical products vary depending on use and other factors. For more information regarding the warranties on these products, contact Leupold at 1-800-LEUPOLD or (503) 526-1400.

Wish I would've read the fine print.  I ASSUMED it had a lifetime warranty like all of the other Leupy's.  Looks like I will be getting that Kahles now.

So there are leupolds that don't have a lifetime warranty? Guess you learn something new everyday.

If they build tough scopes that shouldn't be a worry. Other brand tactical scopes carry the lifetime warranty......

I called them about that when the TMR reticle came out , and the formal answer I recieved was-- military and LE are usually purchased in groups and usually contain a seperate maintence agreement with leo in the contract"  and "this limitation does not apply to individual purchases" and "MK$ have the same warranty as all leo products."
