Who made the line of Springfield Armory scopes for them? I would think they were contracted by someone.

Not sure but I know they have had problems.

Hakko in japan-- it wasn't the scopes as much as Springfields lack of customer services.

Thanks for the replies. I never heard of Hakko. I have the 5.56 version and really like the scope, but I agree that SA didn't seem to want to address any questions I had. My one complaint is the BDC reticle must have been set up for an extremely light target load. I finally found a reload that would correspond to the aiming points and distances, but it's nowhere near a full power load and shoots a rainbow trajectory comparable to a .30/30.

For any additional information about custom glass reticles send us an e-mail to cgr@premierreticles.com

http://www.premierreticles.com/cgr.html
http://www.horusvision.com/reticles.shtml
I'd ask premier and horus what they might be able to do for you  for how much or better yet go to samplelist and use the trade in form and see what kind of trade value you might get toward a optic that would better suit your needs.

In answer to the question-"which scope?"
I have the 5.56 government reticle. It looks very impressive, and the aiming points are dead on out to at least 400m. (this is as far as I've ever tried it) However, I must shoot a 69 gr SMK at about 2200fps (or less) in my Colt match target competition AR in order for the aiming points to come out correct at the specified distances. As you can imagine, any full power load shoots much too flat to match up with the reticle. I do get 3/8" groups @200 with the light load though.
