All I can say is that that is a fair heap of money for a non-magnifying optical device! I'd sure like to check one out sometime, though! BTW- Welcome back, Mark. Place ain't the same without you, even for a few days!

4 moa dot so it is definately for close range under 200 yds because it would cover 8 inches at 200 yds and out past that it would be close to useless. It would be great to ride piggy back over a high power scope or for use on a pistol. The comp M4 that I have is a tad large for the piggyback application but works well. I seem to bounce it around from one rifle to another right now its on a CAR 15 (Comp M4 is a 2moa dot so good out to about 400 yds). I also have another aimpoint that is a 9000L and is 4moa which has landed on a slug gun. With a 4moa dot I wasnt really happy with it on a rifle, if I was only shooting under 100 yds it would be fine and acceptable to 200 yds .
