Does anybody know how this scope in 3-12x56 compares to the Zeiss Conquest?  Thanks.  Drummer

i would put it slightly above the zeiss conquest.

definitely the best 3-12x56 VALUE out there.

get a #4 reticle and be amazed.

i have a 56mm meostar and it's really bright and crisp in the lowlight.

i have owned zeiss, monarch, elite 4200's, and several other brands - but this is
just as good as any for the money.

Any problemas with eye relief on the Meopta's you've encountered, Johnny??
If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Eye relief is a concern.  This scope will go on a Remmy model Seven SS magnum in 7mm SAUM.  It kicks about 18 lbs.  50% more than a similar .308.  Thanks.

If eye relief is a concern, and it sounds like it could be, I would suggest a conquest. You actually didn't say which conquest you were considering.....I assume the 3x12x56? If so it will have 3.5" constant eye relief, optics will be very good with the conquest, but I haven't compared the two scopes mentioned head to head. Will defer to Jon's opinion.

A 7mmSAUM in a lightweight model seven will kick a lot more than 18#, it will be pretty stout.

An M7 Remy with a 3-12X56 will be like towing a 36' travel trailer with a Ranger.
I would look at a smaller scope that would not ruin the balance of that fine rifle. I have a 3-9x40 Monarch on mine and it works great.

eye relief is shorter than i like - BUT, it's on a 7mm08 so it's not a problem.

that gun kicks like a baby.

if eye relief is an issue - get a 3-9x40 conquest and call it a day.

or the 1.5-6x42 SIII sightron w/a #4 would be nice.

good luck.

I have 3x9 monarchs on a couple of different rifles:  a Ruger M77II .243 and a Model Seven .308.  Nice scopes, but I want more magnification and better low-light performance on the SAUM.  I have a 4.5-14x44 Conquest on my .308 5-R, but the low-light performance is not what I desire.  So, I am off the the races.  If the scope it too big asthetically, teh so be it!  I am after performance for this hunting rifle.  I already have several beautiful rifles in the safe!!  This one may be the ugly little sister...  Thanks.  Drummer
