Can 1 of you bino experts give me a comparison between the Swaro SLC 10X42, and the Kahles 10X42. Are the Swaro's worth the extra $ ?

I'm interested in this also, even though I ordered the Kahles a couple days ago all I will be able to compare them to is an 8x30 SLC. (hunting partners SLCs)

As far as rifle scopes go I think Kahles makes a better rifle scope.
But for binos if you want to front the extra $$$ go with the Swarovskis. |

Koshkin,
If you read this, do you have any input you can give between these 2 binos ? |

I haven't tried the kahles, but I do love the Swarovski's... I've tried the SLC and the EL's.
The EL's feel like the same knockdown power from a smaller bullet.. if that makes sense! Very light and you will feel like they are custom made for your hands. I chose the EL's, but the SLC's are sweet too. |

I own the Kahles 10X42. Although it is a very good binocular, it doesn't have the resolution or large sweet spot of the Swaro bins I've used (or for that matter, my Leica 8X50 and Vortex 8X42). It also exhibits more CA and doesn't do as well in controlling flare from low angle light. Whether or not the Swaro is worth the extra $ is a determination only you can make depending on what is important to you, but it is definitely better than the Kahles. Unless you're really picky, you'll likely be very pleased with the Kahles, though.
I'm with Obi Wan. I think Kahles is much stronger in riflescopes than binos.
