not trying to be a smarty-- but given the accuracy of most mini (lack of) it isn't going to matter.

not impressed or shot, but I have shot several sets made by Jimmy Clark which I'm sure surpass factory rugers and not swayed to buy one of those either, Clark was doing this 15 years ago. but if you want to experiment go for it.

im not saying they are super accurate either but, you gotta be clear about how much accuracy its really going to be able to pull

The scope to get is really governed by the use of the rifle.
What will you use it for? what ranges? what targets? ILya |

I have a Weaver Grand Slam 1.5-5x32 on my stainless Mini-14 Ranch Rifle, in the Ruger rings. This will work from "in your face" defense range (1.5 to 2 power setting) out to 200+ yards.
I have one of the pre-retooling rifles, but it has shot 1 3/4" groups at 100 yards with Federal FMJ American Eagle and 2 5/8" groups with Remington 50 grain Premier Varmint. Based on other ammo, I make it to be about a 2.6 inch rifle. However, it sure doesn't like Winchester FMJ. (Great groups at 50 yards, but big groups and a different point of impact at 100 yards.)
If i had a non-Ranch Mini-14, I'd think about trading it for one of the new stainless Ranch Rifles. This would considerably simplify the scope mounting, and give you added accuracy. |

extended alot of resources trying to make a mini 14 up to snuff before the magazine ban. had a store owner/friend say he loves mini 14s the only gun he knew of that he only had to buy once and sell 8 times, always had a used one in inventory (same gun). The same scope works for both AK as mini 14's anything that will hold 4 moa, hopefully the error in the scope will cancel the error in gun and the shot will be dead center. If rugers new one has what it takes it will be a success

I saw a review of these a little while back and it wasn't too impressive. As I recall the best the writer could get out of the gun was about 1.5" and in most cases 2". Perhaps others have had better luck?
