Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

There are some who do not fear death... for they are more afraid of not really living

That's OK. We believe you.

I used to have some Lynx mounts from South Africa. I think that they were considered to be Australian. They were made ( provided by? ) by Tasco.  They were those Tasco bases and rings that looked like Leupold rings but they had the stud that went down into the base of the mount instead of being flat on the bottom. I believe that Tasco marketed those rings here in America, too, under the regular TASCO name.

( I also have a little pair of binoculars 8 X 21 that were marketed by LYNX.  Made in Japan. )

Hasn't LYNX resurrected itself and now has a line of scopes in South Africa?  The last time I saw pictures of the scopes I thought that they looked like SIGHTRONs...

I have a Tasco Euro Class. 3-12x52 and it is actually very good optically. It is a tough scope and like I said optically it is very solid with good clarity (for my eyes). It's no alpha scope by all means but I keep it around just for the heck of it. It was a nice effort by Tasco to "try" to move up in the food chain. I don't hunt with it much simply because the eye relief is not very good. It's also pretty heavy. I have had it since the beginning of time I think :)
