You know, I never really cared for the band Cheap Trick.

They were OK I guess, but my screen name was never a reference to them.

Anybody else??

In KC area where I grew up we had Big Bob Doughty & his band in a city famous for music he was the best sax player I have ever seen. We managed to put one over on our high school by getting him for our prom. They had never heard of him so they ok with it till it happened.
This was 1956 and a simi rural all white public school and suddenly we had a black rock band with a great sax player .
I still have fond memories of that night and the next morning we were still going a regular 50s scandal in that small town.
RIP  Bob you were the best.

Music and Concert are one of my biggest hobbies, from the red velvet draped  Filmore in San Franciso to a abandoned factory on the outskirts of Amsterdam you might find me there. Here is a few artists of hundreds that I like that I feel are at the top of thier game at this time.

Italian Suicide pop band: Spiritual Front

Swedish Duo: ORE

German rythmic noize project: Mono No Aware

The Pie is one of my all time favs along with Velvet Underground, Steely Dan, and Willy Nelson.

My favorite album of all time has GOT to be Nazareth "Hair of The Dog"!!!!!!

What? no Barry Manolow or Boy George

Y'all ain't been to a party until you get the Jewish Sorroity girls dancin' in a conga line to Sweet Home Alabama!!  And they wonder why the old guy knows all the words?

Silver who was force feed Johnny Cash, Conway, Loretta, HOMER and JETHRO, Jimmy Dickens, and Buck "I've got a Tiger by the Tail" Owens, can still say both Porter and Miss Dolly's lines in the "Breeze Detergent" ad.

Skynard has to top be my all time fav.  Did the whole southern rock thing. Most British bands EXECPT the Beatles (Kink, Who, Floyd, ELP, 'Tull).  Now it's Big and Rich's musica mafia and rockin' gospel.

Big Daddy,

I live on one of the top rated Party campuses for the last twenty years.  And it's a "dry" campus ;)  My week end gig is poparatzi for the greek girls.  "Sweet Home" will get them to quit dry humpin' thier boy friend on the bar.
