I'm in need of getting a spotting scope.  I'm looking at the Nikon ProStaff 16-48, Nikon Spotter II XL16-48, and the Leupold Gold Ring 15-30.  It's going to be used out at the range mostly 100 yards, some 200, and possibly BPCR silohuette as I start to get more into it.  Compact size for use while hunting may be a bonus.  Budget is $500 or less.

I already tried to go cheap and got a Barska Blackhawk 20-60 and it was terrible.  Eye relief was non-existant.  Focus was terrible; center would be in focus and edges were fuzzy, edges would be in focus and center was blurry.

Thanks in advance.
