This soldier asked his wife to send him some U.S. soil, grass seed and fertilizer so he could have some memories of home. His squad takes turns walking in his "yard" prior to missions for good luck.
Sometimes we are in such a hurry we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted. Every time I am working in the yard I'll think about this soldier and say a little prayer for them for giving so much and giving up so much.

We are indeed lucky that we don't have to have our rifle at our side when sprucing up the yard. God Bless Our Troops |
