Hi,

I'm trying to find out what type of mounts I have on my Tikka M595. Can anybody help?

Each mount is allen keyed onto the gun on top of the dovetail rail via two treaded holes on my gun. The other part of the mount sits on a shaft shaped like a rivet, ie, "T" shaped when looking from the side. Two allen bolts are then tightened to hold it in place

I don't have a clue what they are called, nor does my local gun shop. I'm trying to buy 25mm rings for it, but having difficulty.

Thanks,

Steve.

Try Lynx in South Africa.

Website www.lynx.co.za

Other then the screws holding the dovetail bracket in place, they look like standard Lynx or Leupold mounts to me. The Lynx (South African) and Leupold screw the dovetail bracket from the side onto the rifle, but the pillar seems identical to Leupold/Lynx. You should be able to purchase Leupold or Lynx rings.

Herewith pictures of Lynx.

Thanks for that!

I've managed to find some. The mounts are or were made by Hilver for Tasco or Lynx. Thats what the gunshop told me?!

Cheers for the info.
