other than the x mark pro trigger you can put the stock on any m700 and i wouldnt cost $1300, less than $1000 actually, and why use a factory trigger anyway?? i does look sweet though and im not much of ss fan i prefer matte black no shine there.

the gun is coated dark with their brand of nitrex(?) the point is you don't have to do the work yourself. remington stock triggers speak for themselves.

not at all--- remington offers the best out of the box shooting value of any manu. I've been waiting for the 750's for a long ltime can't wait to get one in 7-08. put a sweet 1 to 5 something on it---

Dale I had the chance to try out the new trigger on a CDL stainless/fluted and it was very nice. Much lighter than the previous and had very little creep. A little fine tuning should make that a real winner, with not need for an aftermarket unit, IMO.

i would agree with that statement, i wish there brass making ability wouldnt have went down the toilet, i hear a lot of people who were using rem brass are all going to winchester if they are tight with money if not they probably used lapua or norma any way i just looked at rem web page and they dont show the 7-08 unless its one of those they put it in the catalog but not on the net.

roy-- thinkin the same here remington had so many complaints about sear ( had 2 break myself) on new guns that they went back to the drawing bd. news are supposed to microfinished, coated etc. Never had acceptable results with remington brass- for a company that invented the 222, pyro double check the net again. |

And if you are willing to spend more on a Remy, the Custom shop turns out some nice sticks, too. This is an M700 KS with a Brown Precision stock straight from the Custom shop. |

I never took the time to shoot a 710. The first time I handled one and cycled the bolt I thought no way is this a "true" Remy. Maybe I was wrong or they new it, too, and now we get the 770. I hope they sell a zillion of them because our U.S. gun manufacturers have been losing ground in recent years.

all i remember about the 710 was the issue with the bolt they had a recall on them, just like the old 788 not much to look at, but the 788 was a tack driver and remington dumped one of the most accurate models they ever made because if people found out the cheaper 788 would out shoot its more expensive big brother the 700 then rem would lose money so they dumped the 788, i dont think they will make that mistake again, if they think a model will out shoot a 700 the make it into an xb rifle.

It's a 7RM and shoots 1/2moa with 160gr Sierra GameKings over a generous load of H4831. The scope is a 2.2-9x42 30mm Kahles in Talley QD's. |

i think winchester closing the doors may help savage ruger and remington out, t/c may become a player too with the new icon, and marlin may see a surge with the lever evolution ammo and the new .308 rifle as well. |
