Great, great resource you guys have here.  Happy to be a part of it.

After stumbling onto the existence of the Super Sniper scope line in the hunt for decent glass for my Savage 112BVSS in .300 Win Mag, I ordered up a 20x Super Sniper and some Leupold rings a few weeks ago.  The scope and rings showed up 3 days after I placed my order with JW.  Excellent service and order turnaround.  Thank you JW and SWFA.  I mounted the scope without incident, but in the process I managed to convince myself there was some problem with the reticle being blurry.  Attribute it to being tired, I guess.  After a knee-jerk email to SWFA's Customer Service and to Chris Farris, I woke up the following morning and determined that I was at fault, not the optics.  Follow up emails to both begged forgiveness and praised the scope as the real deal.

It's been several years since I spent any serious time shooting.  Even then it was an infrequent squirrel shoot or range session with my smallbore bolt rifles.  Now that the kids are growing up, though, I'm able to spend time/hide in the garage and handload/tinker a bit more.

Second range session with my bone stock 112BVSS and the Super Sniper (first session busted a borrowed BSA scope's reticle, thus the subsequent hunt for glass, heh) produced the following 5 shot, .70" 100 yard group with my first batch of not-that-particularly-good handloads:

just added the Choate stock today, and it needs a coat of paint, but here's the rifle that shot the group:

In any event, the reason for this post is to add a recreational/casual shooter's voice to the many that support the Super Sniper line.  Zeroing was easy with a rudimentary boresighting job and a couple of rounds downrange at the unsuspecting berm at the end of the 100 yard range.  Got on paper, one adjustment that walked the crosshair from the original point of aim onto the bullet hole and I was in business.  Doesn't get any simpler than that.  After that, there were no more adjustments required other than the 1.5" up that I dialed in for longer ranges.  I didn't have the opportunity or time to shoot at the 200 yard line, but I was able to make out the grid lines on someone else's target at that distance and make out the holes in the target in the late afternoon sunlight.

I'm good enough with a rifle despite the rust (really, how hard is it from a benchrest), but I am not hesitant to give credit to this scope.  Buddy of mine who did competitive .50 cal stuff until a few years ago remarked that the glass was 'damned good no matter what (I) paid for it.'  I agree with him.  Feel sorry for the squirrels that get in the way of this thing.  Overkill?  Never heard of it.

Great scope, great price.  Thanks for reading.

That's an intersting brake, effective?  I just put a brake on my Tikka T3 Lite Stainless 300 win mag - works like a charm.  Shot it before brake to be sure I would really appreciate it.  Shot a hog the day I got it backl.  I appreciate!

Quite effective, yes.  Felt recoil is like a .22-250 or .243, maybe?  Certainly nowhere near as mean as my sporterized Mauser .30-06.
