hey guys, love the forum.  so i have a rra varmint AR.  i love this gun, but i have an ultra cheap scope on it.  i mainly punch paper and pdogs at to about 300 yards, nothin extreme.  i was wondering if you guys think that the bushnell elite 3200 10x would be enough magnification for this?  i am also considering the pentax gameseeker 4-16, ive read a lot of good about them and they have a killer warranty.  thanks for the helps guys!

You post is rhetorical--- 10x will get the yards your looking for, just about any power will pop dogs at 300 sometimes I use a 2x on a handgun. Any scope in the price range of the pentax offers outstanding value for the money, since this is where most makers compete for the market.

Yes 10X will be plenty of magnification for your needs.

I would strongly recommend the 10x Super Sniper scope rather than the 3200.
If you have plenty of daylight and the weather is not so hot as to have a lot of mirage the
16x or 20x could also be used with good success.  I would also suggest some kenton Ind knobs for it: http://www.kentonindustries.com/ I think the speed dial style would be ideal for you with a .223

I had this very scope on my .308, very clear quality and extremly nice scope but for what i was doing 600+ yards just not enough. It works really well out to 300 yards havnt tried it past that. Also its half the price of the super sniper scope.
