That's pretty much the factory load in the 338 lapua.

Use a heavy rifle

a 12lb trg with 250 gr and 2600 fps shows about 28 lbs of recoil- a 10 lb win. 70 in 416 and a 400 gr at 2600 fps shows about 50 lbs or almost twice. a six lb 20 gauge with 1 oz loads at 1300 shows about 32. good thing shotguns are not shot prone.

a 8.5 pound trg with 250 gr and 2990fps  shows about $7800.00 in medical expenses.

Heavy rifle Dale.  Heavy rifle.

smk 250 gr 3000 fps

Initial thought --- I wonder what he's smoking  ----- HMMM  338Lapua ---- OUCH

I was really thinking about having one of those built then I regained my sanity and told George to build a 300 Win Mag, sometimes it's better to just -- walk closer!        .

Have not seen the Kimber as far as factory guns I like the Savage accutrigger guns fairly well especially the .308 with the 20 in bbl.
