I am shooting 75 grain match ammo in a Rock River Arms National Match .223. I am considering the Swift 8-32/50 model 678 scope.

Does this sound like a good choice for the money $190. Or is there something out there comparable/better, etc..

Thanks.

I have never used a Swift scope so I can not comment on whether or not it is a good choice.  But I can suggest these based on the application and price range you mention.

Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 A/O, Plex.....$129.95

Bushnell Trophy 6-18x40 A/O, Plex.....$199.95

Leatherwood Expert 6.5-20x44 A/O, Mil-Dot.....$178.95

Leatherwood Distinguished 8.5-25x50 A/O, Mil-Dot.....$299.95

Simmons 44-Mag 6.5-20x44 A/O, Illuminated Mil-Dot.....$179.95

Chris,

What would you recommend out of those choices? Are there any good Weavers or Pentax scopes around that price range? Do you think one of your recommendations would be better than Weaver or Pentax? Thanks.

The Simmons 44-Mag would be my pick out of that group.  No good Weaver or Pentax in that price range.  The closest you could get would be a step down and magnification and a little more money.

Weaver Classic 6-24x42 A/O....$329.95

A Weaver Classic or Grand Slam would be better than the choices above as would a Pentax Light Seeker but they are considerably more money and if you want to spend that much money then this would be a whole different conversation.
