I'm still waiting on my Monarch 3.3x10x44 that has been on backorder since Jan. 26.  I called SWFA and I was told by the Admin. that the ETA would be two weeks.

Fellas:

I'm sure SWFA appreciates your patience.

The whole Monarch line is getting flipped over and I think it's safe to say that the supply is coming in sporadically and it's a first come, first served deal.

You all got a SUPER DUPER deal on a killer scope.

Ya know ya did.....

You know SWFA  ain't going to let you down.........

I am just glad that the 6.5x20 BDC reticle scope, and the 4x fixed power scope are not technically NEEDED immediately, because, as you said, they were both a great deal, and they will be worth the wait.

I got mine!

I had a hold on a 6.5-20 Monarch and got it last week.

Mounted it on my Rock River AR and shot tiny groups on Sunday.

Fantastic scope.

I wish I had some cash, I'd buy another for that future purchase.(is this a sickness?)

I use the term 'eyebox' to define how forgiving this scope is to find a clear, full view at full 20X....much better than any other scope I've used.

BTW, HSM 223 ammo with match bullets is sublime.

I was shooting Black Hills blue box and I think I like this ammo better.

52gr hp and 77gr hp is sub-MOA and cheap, $14 for 50rds of 52gr and $20 for the 77gr.

I don't know if I could do better with handloads.

What a great combination.

I just ordered the 5.5x16 and paid for 2 day shipping.  Got an e-mail it is on back order.  E-mailed them back for reimbursement for the extra shipping charges, as it was going on a Steyr Mannlicher in a 260 Remington to shoot this weekend.  Oh well, another scope will have to do in the meantime.

I just got off the phone with SWFA and cancelled my 6.5x20 BDC that has been on b/o since Jan 31.  Ordered a Nikoplex 5.5x16.5  they had it in stock, my Trashco will have to do this weekend....  Still a really good price on the 5.5x16.5

3trick:

Don't be surprised if you end up REALLY liking that 5.5-16.5, Brother.

I have shot with one many times and it is a real performer.

Here's my new baby.  Has a Tasco on it till the Monarch gets here.  Savage 12BGTV 1.5lb factory set accutrigger.  I thought I'd have to take it apart and adjust the trigger down a few lbs.  She sure is a sweet shootin rifle.  Fluted bbl too!!

It's a 22-250.  I struggled back and forth over that and a 204.  I finally decided that I wanted something that would handle a wolf when we get the season here, plus, I already have all the 22-250 dies, bullets, brass etc.  I am amazed at how nice it shoots, even with a Tasco that won't zero in azimuth.  Gotta send it back for repair, then sell it for a case of beer.

Ordered a Monarch 3-9x40  I believe on the 10th this month and got a back order reply on 12 Feb saying it was backordered. I then e-mailed them right away and did not hear back from them until the 16 Feb saying they should arrive be in acouple of weeks. I think SWFA could be alittle better at keeping there customers up to date, maybe even posting up front about the particular scope you order may be a backorder. Well I don't have a real rush need on mine so I can wait a the few weeks they're talking about if need be. I'm just glad deer season is not starting in a few days.

I received my nikon 6539 3.3x10x44 yesterday. This is my first nikon scope and I hope it really works well on my browning .223. Now I have to go get a base & some rings to sight this baby in.
