OK you guys convinced to get a Kahles CL a couple months ago, let's spend some more of my money :)
Need a silver scope w/40mm obj. and more than 10X. Choices seem limited to: Loopy 4-12 VXII. Problem is it's actually a 4.3x-11.2X Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 is this crap? Burris FFII 4.5-14 solid performer Loopy VXIII 4.5-14 actually 4.8x-14.2 a little pricey for this rig Weaver grand Slam 4.5-14 Am I missing anything? Thanks/Kevin |

There are also some silver Sightron S2 scopes available. I am pretty sure they have a 4-16x42 scope. It is optically about on par with Monarch and Grand Slam.

buckmaster not crap!!!
FFII manufactured by cannibals in pacific Islands!!!
just kidding, there about the same, but I sold my FFII a while ago and bought a buckmaster to replace it. The resolution is about the same, but the nikon will let you zoom without the whole damn eyepeice turning. |

The Bushnell Elite 4200 in a 4-16x40. Yeah I know, the AO ring is still out on the end of the objective but I like the 1/8" reticle adjustments over the others you mention. Another plus is the tube length; there is plenty there if you are mounting it on a rifle with a real long action.

I forgot, you wanted a silver scope. I don't know, if color is worth it but each to his own!

Goz-
Trust me, I dont't "want" a silver scope, it's just going on a wood stock/ss rifle, so I'm thinking a black scope would look goofy. Now if it was a synthetic stock/stainless, the black scope would look good. Anyone got any pics of a wood/stainless/black scope combo? Thanks again/Kevin |

I don't see much chatter about them on the forum, but I have 3 Grand Slams & have found them to be great scopes (6.5-20x, 3-10x, & 4.75x).
