Sorry, but they don't make one, but I'd love it if they did. Anybody else feel same?

I'm looking forward to the variable SS when it comes out.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

An 8x would be wonderful. There are too few 8x fixed scopes out there.

6x isn't enough, and 10x is too much for some rifles and platforms.

I doubt it will happen. A variable is usually the solution instead as fixed power isn't as popular, and especially at 8x.

I may be the only one on this, but I do not think 8x is all that useful.  I find 6x to be the best allround choice in a fixed magnification scope and if I need to reach further out, 8x is not enough of a difference, so 10x is a more logical next step to me.

I agree 6x is pretty good but I'd like just a little more x. An 8x SS will never happen so the 10x will have to do.

I suppose this thread makes a good arguement for a variable power scope.

Does anybody know what the magnification range will be...3-9x42, 4-10x42, 4-16x42, other?

I have previously discussed a SS 6x42 with Chris and know it has been considered.   The problem I am told is that you have to buy a lot of them to get the first batch and he is not sure if he wants to commit those resources with a variable already in the works.
