Sorry, but they don't make one, but I'd love it if they did. Anybody else feel same?

I'm looking forward to the variable SS when it comes out. |

An 8x would be wonderful. There are too few 8x fixed scopes out there.
6x isn't enough, and 10x is too much for some rifles and platforms. I doubt it will happen. A variable is usually the solution instead as fixed power isn't as popular, and especially at 8x. |

I may be the only one on this, but I do not think 8x is all that useful. I find 6x to be the best allround choice in a fixed magnification scope and if I need to reach further out, 8x is not enough of a difference, so 10x is a more logical next step to me.

I agree 6x is pretty good but I'd like just a little more x. An 8x SS will never happen so the 10x will have to do.
I suppose this thread makes a good arguement for a variable power scope. Does anybody know what the magnification range will be...3-9x42, 4-10x42, 4-16x42, other? Smitty |

I have previously discussed a SS 6x42 with Chris and know it has been considered. The problem I am told is that you have to buy a lot of them to get the first batch and he is not sure if he wants to commit those resources with a variable already in the works.
