I see SWFA offers the Z6 with and w/o rail mounts. I can only find one picture of a rifle with scope mounted and it looks way high. I know that was the curse of the old euro rail mounts, I wonder if this is any better. If it's as low as you can go with conventional rings, it would be neat.

Here is the 1,7-10X mounted on a R93 rifle.

Personally I would chose with rings instead.

Nice rifle.  How do you like the bolt system, as compared to the conventional bolt action?  I have a friend who has one in a .308 and when I cycle through, I always wonder if I have chambered a round.  I guess it just because I am not used to the action.  Beautiful rifle and well made.  I have thought about getting one in a synthetic stock in a .308 or 300Wby.  With a little one on the way, I am kind of strapped for cash, so I guess I will have to wait.

Congratulations, Dolphin!  When is the due date?  Do you have some names selected?  Being a Weatherby guy, perhaps Athena if it's a girl or Roy if it's a boy...

I agree, the Blaser is a very ingenious rifle design.

It's not my gun, i don't own any R93 but i have fired a number of them.

I like the concept of beeing able to switch the gun simple.

I dislike the magazine, and I do actually prefer a conventional bolt rifle.

But Blasers are extremely well made, Blaser is one of the best firearms factories in the world.
