Has anyone used the new Bushnell holosight xlp for turkey hunting? does anyone know the size of the MOA dot in the reticle? Is it a good size for turkey hunting? p.s. I am on this board for the first time. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

MOA stand for minute of angle which is ~1" at 100 yards. However, the Holosight XLP (I have one), like other Eotech products has a dot inside a circle reticle with the circle being 65MOA (or ~65" at 100 yards). If I understand this correctly turkey hunting occurs at much shorter distances, so I would expect this arrangement to work very well. Size of the dot per se is not very critical, since you can make it either more or less visible by changing the intensity of the reticle.
