OK, so it's a new scope with a 6x power zoom range. Just with that info, I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that we are not talking about 5 hundred dollar scopes? I'm sure when they release them they will be great.

I know what the Z6 series is and I am also very convinced that those new scopes will destroy the market for Zeiss, SuB , Kahles and the other high ends optics for 1-3 years before they catch up and have redeveloped their sights.

I have only testfired the scopes with not to many rounds, but they are winners, belive me..............

Regards Technika

Thank you Technika for the info. I am very curious to see the features that the Z6 is going to bring to the optics world.

On Chris's clue, I then thought they may be coming out with a digital rangfinding bino or scope.

Whatever it is one thing is sure.  Swarovski puts there money into brilliant marketing strategies.  With everyone guessing on what it is, it will create enough buzz and attention, that many people with assume its better and have to have it.  I am no different.  I don't have any idea what it is but I am calling  SWFA tomorrow, trading my current Swaros in and pre-ordering a Z6.  I can't wait till it comes in.

This is my very 1st post but I've read this forum for a long time & I've bought some nice scopes from SWFA. You're exactly right about Swarovski. I've researched them & have hunted with them, they have brilliant marketing strategies to make you think they are the best. They are very good optics, but not the best IMO. I own 2 Khales scopes & several Zeiss scopes. And personally I feel Khales is right there with Swarovski & Zeiss scopes are better for clarity & low light gathering ability.

I'm very interested though to see what this is about.

Welcome to the OT

Yes Zeiss scopes are better than Kahles and Swarovski at this time.

Obi wan have you tried any of the new Lotu-tec coated Zeiss scopes?

Thank you.

No not yet.  The last Zeiss I purchased was in 2004, they started with Lotu-tec this year.

Have you hunted with any yet?

No, I have not seen one yet. Zeiss started putting this coating on thier scopes late this year.

I am very curious , sometimes these advanced coatings take the glass to a new level of

performance. I will be going to Vegas soon and I am going to check these out. I am using

S&B's at this time for hunting.

What is going to be so drastically better about these new Swarovski Z6 scopes besides them having a 6X erector lens system??? If they are really going to be that much better than the Zeiss Diavaris's I own I will buy one but to really be that much better is really hard for me to believe. Seeing is believing so can't wait to see the new product.
