My girlfriend is in need for het first hunting scope I was looking at a sightron SII 3-12 for around 250 on ebay or one of the burris fullfield combo for $200 with bino's. I have not looked through the Burris yet but am very happy with my own SII6-24. I would guess the SII is the better scope but the bino would be pretty handy for her. I am open to any other suggestions in this price range also.
Thanks, Klint |

The Burris Fullfield II is a good scope for the price. I have one on my 270, and I have never had a problem with it. Had a horse fall on my gun and broke the stock. Never hurt the scope. It is clear and you can see very well at dusk. The Burris would be my recommendation.

I own both and without a doubt would go with the Sightron SII. The Burris is a good scope, but when I mounted my last one, using a leveler and plumb bob, the elevation and windage knobs were not in line with the reticles and the scope is slightly turned to one side. I am very precise and that just buggs me. I have had other scopes do this, but not of this quality. Sightron SII for the optics and ruggedness all the way.
