OK. Here's the deal. I'm getting a rifle scope for the new rig, and I think the Burris package deals with either the spotting scope or the binoculars might be the way to go.
However, I have a few questions before I act. 1. Should I get the spotting scope or the binoculars? 2. What is more important for the "second" piece...binoculars, spotting scope (mostly for the range) or a rangefinder? 3. What would you buy? Buy a scope and binocs first? Scope and spotter? Spend more money on a rifle scope (for a Monarch) then get a rangefinder...with binoculars and spotting scope later? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks! |

I would go with the better scope like a 4200 http://www.riflescopes.com/products/423944M/bushnell_3-9x40_ elite_4200_rifle_scope.htm and later get exactly what you want for the rest of the items.

What type of shooting are you doing, Brother? Hunting, target, etc.??
If your hunting, I''d go with binos. For target shooting, I like the spotter.
SVD666 gave good advise on the 4200 as well. |

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Hunting open country for deer, antelope and elk.
My scope choice has already been narrowed down to the Nikon Buckmaster, Burris FFII or the Pentax WTU. I'll need some range time, for sure. Just wondering money-wise and utility wise what would be the best pieces to acquire first. |
