I recently bought a pair of Tasco binoculars online, 7X35.

They only focus far away, with the focus adjustment all the way to the right.

There are many birds I'd like to view that are much closer. The long range focus has them in a blur, but any attempt to bring them in focus only makes things worse. The binoculars only focus on things a hundred yards away. Turning the focus adjustment to the left, at all, only loses focus for everything, near and far.

Can I fix this? Is there a way to further adjust these binoculars to overcome this problem?

Not got direct experience of that model but check the eye pieces are set so they aren't applying correction for eyesight you don't need.

Welcome on board.

It sounds like you have a bad pair with no easy fix, hopefully still warranty if a recent purchase.

There are TWO focus wheels. The center knob and the diopter on the right eyepiece. They must be focused in the correct order. TASCO has never been known for importing world-class binoculars. But, try focusing on a target 30 away with the focus wheel and then use the diopter ring to bring the image to its sharpest on both sides.

See is that will do it for you.
