It helps to do a search. You'll find lots of information that way.
To summarize a general consensus on BSA: chinese crapola, stay away. How much money are you willing to spend? ILya |

Welcome to The OT!! As koshkin rightly stated, BSA is NOT a very good option.
How much is the wife allowing you, I mean how much are you willing to spend?? |

With your budget I would consider a Leupold Rifleman series scope around 200-250 exceptional quality for the money

I would respectfully disagree.
Rifleman is among the worst choices (but not as bad of a choice as BSA, etc.) For $200 you can get a 3-9x40 Burris Fullfield II or 3-9x42 Sightron S2. Either one of those will work great. ILya |

I would concur with koshkin, and add my fav the Nikon Buckmaster as well. Rifleman's just don't deserve the Leupold name on them, in my opinion.
Welcome to the OT, Medic!! Sorry to disagree with you right out of the gate.......... |

Thank you, no problem Glad to have found this site. I have learned so much from you all. I am in the process of upgrading for my rem 700 sendero 22-250 to better optics. I am leaning toward the bushnell 4200 6x24 for it and using the BSA for target practice, wonder how many pieces it will go into. I guess we can start a pool and I will give out the results.(haha) everybody send me $5.00 and your guess on how many pieces.

Yes, I also have to disagree with the Leupold Rifleman. It's Leupold's lowest line and is not all that great, same thing with the Nikon Pro-staff. However, the Burris Fullfield and the Nikon Buckmaster are both very good scopes for the money. I have never looked through the Sightron but I would trust Koshkin's advice. Also stay clear of BSA scopes.
