I have a

SWFA SS HD 10x42

that I ride in the truck on a rem 223. That I use to shoot coyotes. Its the clearest 10 power scope i have.
The problem I have is that sometimes the turrets will spin a little. its treated rough. A friend of mine recommended melting wax on the turret . Is there a better way to hold the turrets in place?
                                       thanks James

Would an "el cheapo" zero stop be sufficient? At least you´ll know where your 100 yard zero is (or whatever distance you zero your rifle.)

In that case there are some clips on YouTube, just write; SWFA rifle scope zero stop.
There used to be sets of washers for SWFA scopes for sale on ebay, don´t know is they are still available.

I am guessing the screws on the turrets are loose.

If not call SWFA they will take care of you.

tightening the screws will make it harder to click? zero stops and tape are both better than my thought   hose clamps.

You know, I like the idea of hose clamps... red neck BDC rings...

Tape is a reasonable solution and while it is a temporary fix it can be removed without damage.
The better long-term solution is a scope with capped adjustments

Blue painters tape. If you leave it on for a few days it becomes something of a bear to remove. That can be good or bad.
