Daffy Duck

Otherwise Dalhart is a great place....if you're a prairie dog! It's got seven feed lots and about five slaughter houses in it. It smells real good.....(if you're a hyena...)

Texas Panhandle Map

It's only forty miles to Dumas and a WalMart! It's only ninety miles to Amarillo and a shopping mall!

Dalhart is an historic place. It was the Bullseye of the Dustbowl back in the Thirties!

Afternoon gents

Nice and sunny today. A little on the cool side, mid 30's to low 40's, and windy.

Can always depend on Ed to cheer us up.
I remember the slaughter/packing houses in the Butcher Town part of Loonyville. Yeah, the smell was not a fragrance you'd find in a candle shop.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Howdy peeps, heavy wind west @ 28 looks like some lake effect bands are starting to set up on the radar.

Afternoon gents

Partly cloudy, and cold.

Walking the dogs this AM I saw 2 deer. Had a stare down with one of them about 100 to 150 yards away. The deer won.
I also saw a quail in my back yard. I'm more excited about the quail than I am the deer. When I first bought the place, I saw quail all the time. Then they just disappeared. I'm hoping they're making a comeback.

Morning all,

Dark here. Not sure if we had our first proper frost or not. We could do with one.
