I added a fiber front sight to my Ruger MKIII as well, it's a great addition.  Thunbs Up

My Ruger MKIII Hunter came with a fiber optic "light pipe" front sight. I love it very accurate. Especially after a Volquartson trigger kit. I have my sights set so that the  light pipe visually contacts the rear sight at the 5 and 7 o'clock. Eliminates drifting POI towards  a side light source at least for me anyway.

Tried to find tritium, can't locate for that gun.

Definitely a "keeper".

You could always drop a Holosun 508T on one for her if it has the rail.  I doubt the rear will make as much improvement at the front sight.   A tritium front should be similarly helpful in lower light.  Once we get to bifocals they can cause issues with open sights. Sounds like she's deadly even on a bad day. Definitely a keeper.

My wife's practice gun.  I, without asking, ordered and installed a fiber optic "light pipe" front sight for it and asked her to go shoot it.  The results were pretty amazing.  She is a good shot, naturally, but has always had some difficulty with this pistol, generally an inch or so "off" at 30 yards.  First shot was about an inch and a half left and an inch high on a 4x6 steel target... she then dead centered 6 shots on 3 targets.  She was having trouble clearly IDing the front sight.  The light pipe fixed it.  I knew it would make a difference, just not such an immediate and dramatic difference.
I'm now going to order and install an adjustable fiber optic rear sight for this gun.
