I use Raptor SD-SL on my "go to" guns.   Ambidextrous, optimized for suppressor...easiest to access that I've used.  Like it more than any other.

BCM Gunfighter is a good one too.

Best charging handle on the market is having a spare one.

I mostly use Raptors.

Several years ago I was talking to the range officer on an Army base and asked him about charging handles.  His response was he could not remember ever seeing a standard issue M16  / M4 charging handle break or fail. I also can not recall any incident of the standard charging handle failing. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah, that’s what the BCM handle is, comes in two different latch sizes, I bought three a couple of years ago… around $40 each.

I'm not... kept trying to find one I really liked... still looking.

Though not really an AR, my AR-influenced design NEMO Omen Recon IS one like...

I've seen charging handles get bent and stuck from vigorous manipulation more than once, so I always keep a spare.

I now use a BCM. Here’s some video captures from a slo mo video I shot. I couldn’t figure out why my charging handle wouldn’t stay locked. It had a rounded edge on the upper receiver. I fixed it with a dremel tool and replaced the charging handle as well.

The NEMO I can absolutely picture you with.    I've always wanted a La Rue  OBR in .308 just have not gotten there yet.  Also never had a GALIL .....
