Remington Model 14 receiver

I used to see hunters using these back in the sixties in Pennsylvania. My brother-in-law always wanted one in 35 Remington but he never got one. He wound up using 270s and a 7mm Rem Magnum.

Yes I used to have one in the early eighties. A cigarette-sized 30-30. I still have some ammo. I wish I could afford another one.

The one I had was a saddle-ring carbine from 1900! It was about 5%....the only blue on it was in cracks and crevices...but it shot good. A walnut stock....lots of those oldies had gumwood stocks.

If I had money to burn like Scrummy, I would look for a Remington 788 in 30-30 and re-barrel it to 25/35 just to fool around.

Buying classic guns is not burning money...
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

There are some who do not fear death... for they are more afraid of not really living
