This is my newest girl, Juanita.....

Bravo Co. Manufacturing 16" mid-length upper, with A2 flash hider.

What can I say about this upper?? Equals Colts' quality....Enough said!

Paul over at Bravo Co is a craftsman and this upper reflects his attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

I notice that the mid-length has a little softer recoil than a 16" carbine or M-4 style AR.

CMT MP tested, M16 full auto carrier w/ Crane "O" ring and professionally staked.

Excellent product!! The heart and soul of an AR is the BCG, in my opinion.

600 rounds and it runs like a sewing machine!!

KNS Anti Walk pins.

I won't have another AR without these pins!! Had problems with pins walking on a Bushmaster.

Sun Devil lower with DPMS lower parts kit installed. (CMT roll pins.)

Very nice, solid billet lower. No seams and I went with it to be a little different.

Trigger is standard single stage, but breaks real nice and crisp.

Boys at the range went wild over this lower.

Troy MRF-M full floating quad rail.

I probably had more difficulty deciding on this piece of gear than I did anything else. Daniel Defense is all the rage these days, but I can't see paying $365.00 for a freakin quad rail.

VERY nice, solid rail that locks up great!!

VLTOR Standard Modstock.

I have always been partial to VLTOR stocks. They have storage compartments for extra batteries and what not.

Yankee Hill BUIS.

Will probably replace with a Larue Tactical BUIS eventually.

Eotech 552 "F" w/ Larue Tactical mount.

Well, this IS NOT mine....

Buddy sent it to me to "try out".....hehehehe

Most folks on here know I'm an Aimpoint guy, but this Eotech optic is pretty nice.

I don't like the buttons though. Feel like I'm playing a video game every time I turn it on.

Well, thanks for letting me share..............Here she is!!

I really have to move the heck out of Californistan.

Nice rifle, Cheaptrick.  Who made the barrel? What's the twist rate? Is it chrome lined?

I've had a chance to play with a few ARs (I am putting one together, so I've been doing a lot of research).  One thing that I never thought of before was that the quad rail is not very comfortable to hold onto (at least for me).

Are you thinking of adding a front vertical grip? or getting some slide-on covers for forearm unused rails?  I think I've seen these covers somewhere.

As for the Eotech, mazal tov!  Finally, you saw the light! (or the hologrpahic projection to be more exact).

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-16-Mid-Length-Upper-Recei ver-Group-p/bcm-urg-mid-16.htm

Here's the info on the upper.

I think the upper receiver is CMT though. Don't remember for sure on the barrel. Shaw?? 1/7 twist.

Yeah, still need a flash light, sling mount, rail panels.

I'm not a vertical gripe fan, but may try one again.

The Eotech is nice, I got to say that. I have been happy with it.

But, will probably go with an Aimpoint M2 again. Not sure.

She really likes XM193 55gr. rounds. Better accuracy than I expected too.

Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks for the link.

I've heard good things about Bravo Company stuff.

Are you planning to temporarily put a scope on it and do some accuracy testing?

Aimpoint? again?  Can you hold on to your buddy's Eotech for a little while?

When Millett comes out with their Zoom Dot, I'll buy one and send it to you for testing.

Yeah, probably throw the SS on it and shoot the crap out of it......

I'm a little torn.

I like the whole "Circle of Death" thing with the Eothingy and all and it's really fast.

I just love the Aimpoints...

Nice rifle, I wish I would've considered Bravo Company before I purchased my Bushy. I would've prefered a mid-length carbine vs. my M4, but I'm happy, enjoy your rifle CT.

BTW, what are the Crane "O" rings? Are they some kind of high-speed rings for the BCG? Professionally staked? Enlighten me.

Koshkin,

I've got to agree with you on the vertical grip, I tried one before I purchased my M4, it was awkward for me too, probably the only way I would want one would be if I was a SWAT Operator & was on an Initial Entry Team.

Thanks, SD.

From what I understand, the Crane O ring "enhances" the extraction process.

I had a Defender O ring on my last AR. Same deal.

Not sure if it helps or not, to be truthful.

"Staking" the gas key on the other hand is a must have item, as far as I'm concerned.

Your basically making sure the gas key doean't come loose and cause short stroking.

Here's a pic I stole off of M4Carbine.net

I believe it's a LMT that's been staked.

My Bushmaster, which wasn't staked from the factory, decided to work loose at a class I attended a few years ago.

You can order a MP tested, staked BCG from Grant @ GandR Tactical.

Grant stakes them himself.

http://www.troyind.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=24&pr oducts_id=45

Just wanted to add, that the Troy rail is FREE FLOATING and is 2 PIECE!!

Don't have to remove the FSB or the barrel. Locks up to the barrel nut.

Dremel or in my case, hack saw the delta ring off and your up and running in about 10 mins.

This rail may weigh a little more than the DD Lite, but shes a $100 and change cheaper and locks up good and tight.

Good shooting all!!!

OUT!!!

Thanks, Brother.

I had to take the 'ol "It's better to seek forgiveness, than obtain permission" with the Warden on this project, Brother!!!

Besides, the couch is getting more comfortable all the time!!.............

Maybe I have not been married long enough, but there is no gun in this world worth sleeping on the couch.

Maybe I'll wisen up as I get older though; however, knowng my wife, couch won't do it.

Heck, I'd be lucky to get away with this:

This  would be more likely:   ,
