Well I'm not worried about you replacing your walker.

1961 Pontiac Safari wagon. My dad had one of these, first automatic I ever drove. Seemed so easy. Great people mover.

Our parents had one of these when we were little, same color too, Ford Country Sedan. I've always loved wagons since then, my first truck was a '79 Bronco (wagon). I didn't realize what the 390 meant on the side badges until I was old enough to drive. |

When I worked for American Mud I had a 1979 Ford Bronco.....I actually flopped it over on its side one time in Colorado....and we uprighted it a couple of hours later and I drove it out into Utah the next morning to a drilling rig.....and then it got repaired and I got it back a few weeks later....
I had ANOTHER 1979 Bronco up in Wyoming.....but my buddy rolled it down a canyon and it was totalled..... |

loved my ‘79 bronco 🍻
The second generation ‘78-‘79 weren’t the best wheelers like the first gen. Bronco’s but I’d buy another in a heart beat.

I liked them but they are too short and ride like hell on bumpy, rocky roads. You hit a big hole and the next instant the rear end hits it and then flies back up throwing your stuff all over!

I put about 50,000 miles on my company Bronco in one year--90% of that was off-road.
My personal trucks were all long wheelbase. |

I hear ya, it was built on a F150 frame, had mine for 20+ years. The steering radius was amazing, the darn thing spun on a dime. I beefed up the suspension so off roading it road well, hard top came off come spring time, replaced with a rag top, and back on in the fall. Ahhh the memories! 😎

Years ago---the winter of 79-80---I was driving down this highway in Colorado just a little north of where this casino is now. (It didn't exist back in 1980..) I hit some black ice and that Bronco did a complete 180 and I was flying down the road backwards (in 4th gear!) Fortunately nobody was coming up the road and I managed to steer the truck---while looking out the back window! I finally steered it off to the left side of the road and hit some dirt and gravel and got the truck under control!
That kinda freaked me out. I was lucky. |
