Anyone got one of these? I have been researching them for quite some time. I honestly have not been able to find much negative about them. You can get one for $250ish. The trigger is a consistent 4.5ish lbs, reliability reviews have been excellent. I am very tempted to try one. I kindof want a Kahr, but pretty much everything about the ruger sounds better than the Kahr. The funniest negative I have found it a video of a guy complaining that the safety was to hard to engage after he had fired a shot. He claimed it was really easy to take off, but to hard to engage. He would shoot one and then sit there and struggle to put the safety back on ultimately having to use the thumb of his support hand. Moron. It is obvious it was designed that way so it could not be accidentally engaged while shooting. scroll to about 3 minutes Edited by supertool73 - February/07/2019 at 13:02 |

Bought crystal one, she likes it. She was adamant about having a safety on whatever she carried. Hers is the ec9 but basically the same thing minus real sights. Does point and shoot well.

So what do you think about it compared to your Kahr's?

I have a friend who shoots one at IDPA matches and hog hunts with it (and LC9). So far, he's killed 2 hogs with the LC9s. One in the 250lb + range. I believe his hog hunts are kind of "canned", but still...
He loves it. Constantly trying to convince me to buy one. Has convinced several others to purchase. I've fired it a few times... nice performance. I've never had or seen any problems with it. If someone gave me one I would keep it, but I've got my Glocks and FN... don't see a need to change.

Different fell all together.... Very slim, fits petite hands well, doesn't fit mine well. Trigger pull is smooth and short on her gun. Kahrs are long and smooth. She wanted external safety, lightweight, 9mm or less for recoil management, and smaller for pocket book carry... the EC9 fit the bill best from my research....... oh and she wanted it robin's egg blue......
The kahrs have a home in my rotation and have been my EDC for a few months now, still like them. Has helped my back for sure. of course so has diet and exercise. |

I've fired 50 rounds through the LC9s. It's a nice pistol, and easy to shoot well.

I have a regular LC9, and it has a long trigger pull. I have a Kahr too. LC is slimmer than the Kahr.
I just leave the safety off on mine. The SW Shield is a nice gun, and easy to shoot also. Much better trigger than the LC9.

From what I have read the LC9 trigger sucks compared to the LC9s. It breaks at the very back of the grip vs the s breaks much earlier and is also much lighter.

Correction: The pistol I fired was an LC9s.

I just picked up an EC9s. Haven't had time to develop an opinion but everything I've read about the LC9 and LC9s has been positive. Picked up a silver frame black slide model off GB for $195 + $15 shipping.

It is long for sure. There is a place that makes a trigger kit for them that supposedly helps. But I usually carry my Kahr anyway, so....
