Does anyone have any hands on experience with this scope. From what I'm reading it looks like it might be something special.

Does anyone own a GPO scope that they could talk about?

I tested the 1-8x24 a while back.
Anything specific you are curious about?

Im just interested in the quality of GPO scopes. Also wondering how this scope would compare to the Vortex Gen11 1X6E.

'm also intrigued in GPO's lines of LPVO scopes
and would be interested in your general impressions regarding glass, build
quality, and how user friendly their "eyebox" is. I'm more interested in their two 1-6 lines
for use on a thick brush hunting rifle (and to play with target shooting) rather
than the 1-8 models, and like the looks of the reticle on their FFP model for its versatility. I was waiting on Leica's ER5 1-5x24 for this
application, but since it never made it to market Meopta's R2 1-6x24 and
Nightforce's NX8 are probably the current leading candidates for this rifle. On paper, the GPOTac 1-6 seems like it might
be a good compromise between the Meopta and Nightforce -- a reticle that I like
that is similar to the Nightforce and glass quality/user friendly eyebox that
is similar to the Meopta. Looking for some
independent review feedback that lets me know if I'm heading in the right
direction.

The 1-8x24 GPOTAC I tested was built very well. The scope is built in Japan by LOW, except they add the illumination in Germany.
I would have preferred a bolder reticle on 1x, but as a general purpose design, it was quite good. The 1-6x is supposed to have a more prominent reticle, but I have not seen it yet. ILya
