I've bought a Savage 10FP LE2A Choate,  now i need to scope it, I'M on a Budget and can only spend 250 w/ rings and covers, (wife is in control of the bank)

I've narrowed it down to 2 options that will be in my price range......

1.Swift Premium 4.5-14x44 Mil-dot

2.Bushnell 10x40 Mil-dot.

I do a little of everything, some paper and some hunting.....more paper then hunting.  I would love to get the SS10x42 but I'm not in the position to bargin with the wife for a much nicer scope.....

My major questions inclued..

1. Which is better?

2. Will they hold up to 30 cal pounding, at least til I can purchase Nicer?

3. Sunshades, where can i get sunshades for either?

Please give me some advice.  Thank you for your time.

Big O

Bushnell Elite 3200 is a better built and sturdier scope.  Optically, they are comparable, I think.

However, for the same money you can get a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 with ballistic Plex, which is a better scope than either.

Is the Super Sniper totally out of your wife's, I mean your budget???

I realize that it's a little more money, but I don't think you can beat a SS as far as a fixed 10 scopes, friend.

$300 for the rear focus model, a pair of Leupold rings, and your living large!!

I'm very happy with my SS and heartily recommend it at any opportunity.

Just asking.....And I understand the whole "wifes got me on a budget" trip too, Brother....BELIEVE ME!!!

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Super Sniper 10x.

refer to rule number 1

unfortunately, she knows the difference.....and there is another rule #1 i like to live by,

"If shes unhappy, you're unhappy."

and she will be unhappy if i buy the SS, Instead of the Bushnell or Millit.....

the bushnell is good to go. i had one and it was a damn good scope for the money. The only reason i still don't have it is because cheaptrick recommended the ss to me and after i bought my first ss i just had to have two so i sold my elite to help finance it. Your on the right track save your pennies and buy a ss
Firepower usually means an increased number of misses
