Our SWAT team had Colt Saurers for a short time. They hated them.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

My neighbor has a Colt Sauer, 25-06. Like new, I have handled it, the bolt is so smooth, just like silk. The wood on those was very well selected. Eye candy. |

I don't care what those SWAT people think....they probably don't like Winchester 94s, either....

They did use Remingtons; 700 Varminters to be exact.

No. It was a dressed up Model 721 with a 3 position safety and a hinged floorplate and checkered walnut. Then they quit and started the Model 700 with a two-position safety and pressed on checkering....but they improved it over the years.... |

Speaking of P17/P14 Scrummy. Are you able to own any of the military SMLE rifles? |

Hi BF, Yes we can have bolt actions on a firearms certificate. We don’t control “military style” features with legislation. Our issue comes if semi-auto centre fire. Scrummy |

Okay, and thanks. I was just wondering; the SMLE and P14/P17 are such fine bolt action battle rifles.

Wow, this ballooned to 17 pages. I haven't checked in awhile, and didn't go through all 17 pages, but do have a minor contribution. Over the holidays, I went to a range with my brother-in-law and his recently acquired Kel Tec PMR-30. I expected the worst, but was actually pleasantly surprised. It was fun to shoot, reasonably accurate, and ran smoothly. I liked it so much I might need to get one and smooth out a few rough edges. I generally avoid Kel Tec's wares, but might need to reconsider that.

Respect is something you earn. Equality is something you whine about not being given. |
