I liked the old school schrades, new stuff does not seem to have the quality of the old blades.
I carried a small three blade schrade pocket knife everyday of middle, high school, and college. Then I lost it. My dad and gradpop always carried schrades. They were a decent knife. |

Yep, I have that one and the drop point too. I like the trailing point for skinning and the drop point for gutting. I have so many newer knives through the years I can't remember the last time I used them, though.

Sorry not custom but somewhat vintage. The first five on left except the bark river are from the seventies. A Buck, Case and two Gerbers all made in the USA. Funny thing my brother Doug told me to buy a big knife because we were going black bear hunting in the Deadstream swamp up north. The knife has to be a foot long ! I think around here that Schrade had to be one of the most popular in the day especially for the money |

Darn it Kev, now I have to dig out the Queen gut hook knife you got me.
Isn't the knife between the Case and the Gerbers an old Wolverine? |

Bought one of these about 25 years ago on a visit to Orlando. Still have it and use frequently but the blade is a little worn down now from sharpening. Has been a good knife.

I got my brother-in-law an Uncle Henry Golden Spike for Christmas a hundred years ago...he went antelope hunting outside of Glenrock and left the knife on the bumper of his truck and drove away....Schrade sent him a NEW KNIFE! |

I have a Golden Spike too Ed. Decent knife despite the false antler grip. Have used it on the last few deer hunts.
