I don't believe this can happen when the world is so developed.

Perhaps you should talk to your congress critter and ask them why Federal Law does not exempt off duty LEO and retired QRLEO from Gun Free School Zones and No Carry Zones. (Qualified Retired Law Enforcement Officers are required for firearms qualify to police standards annually). POLICE are trained in active shooter response should be exempt in Federal Law from "GUN FREE SCHOOL ZONES" and No Carry Zones. But they are NOT!!!!
Yep that's right only On Duty Police have the OK to be armed withing a Gun Free School Zone. Bet that was really awkward for the unarmed off duty cop who was watering the football field when this shooting happened, but at least he didn't run away. What if he had been armed off duty with a concealed weapon and could have responded immediately. How many lives could have been saved??? LEOSA should be expanded (Title 18 US CODE 926b, 926C ) and the QRLEO ID should be issued by the Federal Government because today the issuance of the ID is handled differently in every state. With the common response being we don't care that you had 10+ years honorable service you did not retire here, so we wont give you the ID you are required to carry under Federal Law. Naturally there is NO RECOURSE, NO OVERSIGHT. No way to appeal. And every different law enforcement agency in the country handles issuance of the QRLEO ID differently. Your Congress Critters have gone out of their way to make this law ineffective. There should be NO limits on where police and QRLEO retired police can carry firearms. There should be a clear and precise definition of who is eligible. Currently Any business that is open to the public and posts a No Carry Zone sign makes that an open invitation to active shooters and prevents off duty and retired police from going armed there. There should be some system of oversight to review any request for ID which is denied because many ID cards are denied wrongfully. The administration of many police agencies is just as guilty of making this law ineffective because its easier to say NO than to issue the ID. It's an administrative circus with everyone playing by different rules because the FED has required an ID and made NO Provision for the Issuance of that ID and worse yet no process for oversight and appeal. If anything LEOSA should be expanded from 10 yrs to only 5yrs honorable service, I know lots of guys who were great cops but when they got married had to change to a job with better hours and less risk.

What a pity that sometimes society receives lessons from people who shouldn't do it. Looking for just one culprit is not fair. Because most frequently, there is more than one guilty person in any situation. https://uk.edubirdie.com contains enough essay subjects that reveal the community's blindness. People have too old visions of school and the study process. Edubirdie has shown me some principles that convinced me that some teachers indeed are teaching intolerance, violence, and discrimination. Sad story, so sad story ...
