When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.
It is the same when you are stupid. |

That just goes to show everyone's different taste. I think Woodford is over priced, and not that great. I like Makers, and it's my go to Bourbon that I compare all other Bourbons to. Jack Daniels is Tennessee Whisky and not bourbon, so it has a different taste; I don't care for it, but if that's all there was........ Blantons was the big rage around here back in the late 90s. I found it to be on the harsh side and didn't really care for it, especially at the inflated price. Now you never hear anything about Blantons. |

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Ed, the reproduction,
Mackinlay's Shackleton Rare Old Highland Malt - The Discovery 750 ml is available for about $300.00 per bottle. Very limited number available. I've never tasted it, never have seen a bottle outside of a picture. I understand it is quite good. I guess it would be a good thing to add to my bar stock. The "original" is not available, owned by some museum. |

Bourbon Drinkers--You might want to try a bottle of Rebel Yell, for the fun of it. It's not high proof, but it is good.
The only problem is you may not be able to buy it unless you are south of the Mason-Dixon line. Our favorite bourbon, after attending many Kentucky Derbies and related parties, used to be Old Weller Reserve. Unfortunately, the distiller sold the brand, and we don't care for its taste as presently made. [We grew up and lived in Louisville, KY for most of our lives.]

Seems reasonable to me. One of the habits of highly effective people is having a good routine so seems Eduardo has that down... ;) Scrummy

I've tried Rebel Yell, and it is good, but it had a nasty tendency to give me a bad headache. Longhunter, you still live in the Loonyville area? |

Not any longer. We lived in Northern Virginia for about 14 years, while I worked in Washington, D.C. (not for the government).
We then moved to Knoxville, TN, where we live now. Born and bred in Kentucky, though, for quite a few generations back (on the Green River). |
