Wasn't somebody at some time making a Super Sniper clone? I've got a SS? 16x42 scope that looks exactly like a SS. No markings other than a 16x42 stamp. Anyone know who made these, or can tell me anything about this one? Since there aren't any markings, I would assume this is not a true SS. Heres a couple of pics. Thanks. Greg

looks like the real deal.
Shouldn't say much except for the inspection sticker that says "made in japan by nice little folks who really don't want to piss us off ever again" It's a big label. |

The early versions only had 10x42, 16x42, 20x42 stamped on them. The best I can tell from your images, I would say it is a real SS. The fakes were not exact copies. Most of the fakes were just BSA or Tasco scopes being marketed as Super Sniper scopes and they were not even the same powers or objectives as the real SS scopes. |
