Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are made by Bushnell..

As usual Steph, you are correct. Browning contracted Bushnell to make their scopes for them. Their scopes are similar to the 3200 Elites, however share the same quality glass as the 4200 series. As I'm sure you are aware, the Browning scopes do not have the Rainguard coatings and are advertised at a 94% light transmission as opposed to the Bushy 4200 with an advertised 95% light transmission. The Rainguard coatings are said to also increase light transmission as well as displacing water droplets and bad breath
. Personally, I would take the 4200 over the Browning if I were in the market for a 3-9. The Rainguard coatings and FireFly reticle is what trips my trigger. The 4200 3-9 has got to be the standout value in the current field of 3-9 scopes available.

Thank you Roy Finn
You can see the Optalens on www.Browningint.com. I had one and I did not like it.It is very heavy and (in my opinion) not at the same level of the Browning products. Regards |
